Frequently Asked Questions

Straight answers about wraps, paint protection film, quotes and appointments.

What is the difference between a vinyl wrap and paint protection film?

A vinyl wrap changes the colour or finish of your vehicle, or carries printed branding. Paint protection film is a thicker, clear (or matte) urethane film designed to absorb stone chips and light scuffs while keeping your original colour. They are different products for different jobs.

How much does a wrap cost?

Every wrap is quoted individually because the price depends on the vehicle size and shape, the material, how much of the vehicle is covered, any design and print work, and the condition of the paint. We publish indicative price ranges for paint protection film and wrap removal on those pages. Send us a quote request with photos and we will come back to you with a quotation.

Will a wrap protect my paint?

A wrap can help shield paint from light scuffs and sun exposure, but it is not designed to stop stone chips. Results depend on the paint condition, the material and how the wrap is cared for. If protection is your priority, ask about paint protection film.

Can a wrap be removed without damaging the paint?

On healthy factory paint, a good-quality film that has been looked after usually removes cleanly. Resprayed or damaged paint, very old or sun-baked film, or low-quality film can lift paint or leave adhesive behind. We assess this before removal and explain the risks.

How long does a wrap last?

It depends on the film, the colour and finish, how much sun the vehicle gets, and how it is washed and stored. We discuss realistic expectations for your vehicle and the material you choose when we quote, rather than promising a fixed number of years.

How long will my vehicle be with you?

Timing depends on the size of the vehicle, the coverage, preparation needed and whether artwork must be designed and printed. We confirm the timing with your quotation and when we schedule the installation.

Do I need to tell anyone about a colour change?

A full colour change may need to be updated on your vehicle registration, and you should tell your insurer. Please check the requirements with your licensing authority and insurer.

Where is the work done?

All work is done at our workshop in Rivonia, Sandton. For fleet projects you can ask whether on-site work is possible, but it is not guaranteed.

What is the difference between an assessment booking and an installation booking?

An assessment or consultation is a short visit so we can look at your vehicle and talk through options. Installation appointments are only for accepted quotations and are confirmed by our team after checking workshop capacity, materials and artwork, so an online installation booking is a request until we confirm it.

How should I wash a wrapped vehicle?

Hand wash with a pH-neutral car shampoo and soft mitt, rinse well and dry with a clean microfibre towel. Keep pressure washers well away from edges, avoid harsh solvents, and do not wax or polish matte or satin finishes.

Can you wrap leased or financed vehicles?

Many owners wrap leased or financed vehicles, but you should check your agreement and with the finance or leasing company first, especially about colour changes and removal at the end of the term.

Do you need my logo files for branding?

Yes, ideally as vector files such as AI, EPS, PDF or SVG. If you only have a low-resolution logo, we can discuss artwork preparation as part of your quote.

Ready to transform your vehicle?

Send us a few photos for a quotation, or book a time to see colours and finishes in person at our Rivonia workshop.
