Chrome Delete and Trim Wraps
Chrome window surrounds, grille trims and badges covered in black or colour vinyl for a cleaner, darker look.
Wraps, black optic-style trim and PPF for Audi A, Q, RS and e-tron models, planned around LED lighting and sharp lines.
The Audi A3, A4, A5 Sportback, Q3, Q5, Q7 and Q8 are popular choices in Sandton, alongside RS models such as the RS 3 and RS 6 and the electric e-tron range. Audi owners often ask us for a colour change, a blacked-out trim look or clear paint protection film to guard the front end.
Car Colour Wraps works from one workshop in Rivonia and uses 3M and Avery Dennison vinyl films for colour change wraps. We are independent and not connected to Audi. Here is what we consider when planning work on an Audi.
Audis are known for crisp shoulder lines and creases along the doors and wings. Vinyl must be stretched and set carefully so these lines stay sharp and the film doesn’t lift from deep recesses over time. Some panels need a seam or inlay at a crease, which we plan in advance and explain before you approve the job.
The large Singleframe grille, honeycomb inserts on RS and S line models and the four-rings badge sit in the area where adaptive cruise control radar is often mounted. We leave radar areas and cameras uncovered, and intricate honeycomb mesh is generally not wrapped.
Many Audis have Matrix LED or digital OLED lights with animated sequences. We don’t cover headlights or tail lights with vinyl, and we work carefully around light housings so trim and bumper edges finish neatly. Covering or tinting lights can affect roadworthiness, so lighting changes are outside what we offer.
Audi’s black optic styling replaces bright or aluminium-look trim with gloss black. A chrome delete can create a similar effect on cars without it: window surrounds, the grille frame, lower bumper inserts, mirror caps and roof rails are common choices. On RS models, the wide arches, front splitter and diffuser need extra care, and genuine carbon parts are usually better protected with PPF than wrapped.
Satin and matte greys suit Audi’s angular styling, and a gloss black or carbon fibre look roof is a popular partial wrap. Quattro-inspired lower door graphics can be produced as decals if you want a motorsport-style detail, designed as original artwork rather than copies of trademarked logos.
Clear paint protection film is designed to absorb stone chips and scuffs. Front-end coverage is the common choice for an A4 or Q5 doing daily highway kilometres, while full-vehicle PPF suits owners of RS models or an e-tron GT who want wider coverage, subject to the paint’s condition. Our 5-year workmanship guarantee applies to our installation workmanship only, not to how long the film lasts.

Flat grey finishes from light cement to dark gunmetal – one of the most requested colour changes, with matte-specific care.

Vinyl that mimics a carbon fibre weave, often used on roofs, bonnets, mirrors, spoilers and trim for a sporty accent.

A wrapped roof in gloss black, satin or carbon fibre look for a contrast ‘floating roof’ effect without repainting.

Cover every painted exterior panel in a new vinyl colour and finish, with optional door shuts and an honest paint check first.

Clear PPF on the bumper, bonnet, front wings and mirrors – the areas that face most road debris.
