Honda Wraps, Accents & Paint Protection

Honda covers a wide range in South Africa, from the Amaze sedan and the Fit hatchback to the HR-V and CR-V family SUVs and the Civic Type R. Owners of the everyday models usually want a fresh colour, a darker trim look or front-end protection, while Type R owners tend to ask about accents, stripes and protecting a car that is driven hard.

Car Colour Wraps is an independent workshop in Rivonia, Sandton, and has no affiliation with Honda. We use 3M and Avery Dennison vinyl films for colour change wraps, and clear paint protection film where stone-chip protection is the aim.

Civic Type R accents and aero

The Type R’s large rear wing, bonnet vent, wide arches and deep bumpers give it a lot of shape, and its red trim details are part of its character. Many owners prefer to build on that look rather than replace it, with stripes, a contrast roof, wrapped mirror caps or accent graphics that pick up the red detailing. Full colour changes are possible, but the vents and aero edges mean more seams and relief cuts, which we show you before work begins.

Family SUVs: HR-V and CR-V

The HR-V and CR-V are often family vehicles that handle school runs, holidays and highway trips, so practical choices matter. Satin and gloss colour changes in greys, dark blues and black suit these shapes, subject to material availability, and a chrome delete on window trims and grille bars gives a more modern look. Wide, smooth panels wrap neatly, while rear door handles and roof rails need careful trimming. If you have young children or a dog, bear in mind that gloss is easier to keep clean than matte.

Honda Sensing cameras and radar

Many Honda models have driver-assistance systems that rely on a camera at the top of the windscreen and, on some versions, a radar unit behind the front badge or lower grille. We never cover the windscreen and we don’t place film over radar areas. Parking sensors, reverse cameras and headlight surrounds are trimmed precisely, and we check for warning lights after installation.

Amaze and Fit: protection and small changes

On the Amaze and Fit, a full wrap is not the only option. A black roof, mirror caps or a chrome delete can update the look, and clear paint protection film on the bonnet and bumper is designed to reduce stone-chip damage on daily commutes. PPF does not change the colour and cannot hide chips that are already there.

Tell your insurer about any wrap and, for a full colour change, check with your licensing authority whether your registration details need updating. Our 5-year workmanship guarantee applies to our installation workmanship, not to how long the film or colour lasts.
