Bank signage has to do more than look on-brand. It identifies the branch from the street, guides customers to the right queue or service point, displays notices the bank is required to show, and must never get in the way of the branch’s security measures.
This service is for banks, financial service providers and their facilities or brand teams who need signage installed in individual branches, or who are rebranding branches and need old branding removed and new graphics installed without disrupting customers.
About this service
A branch is a controlled environment, so the bank’s requirements lead. We work from the bank’s brand specification and its security team’s brief. Graphics must not obstruct CCTV cameras, block sightlines into or out of the banking hall, cover alarm sensors or panic equipment, or reduce visibility at entrances, ATMs and teller positions, as specified by the security team. Window coverage, ATM surround graphics and lobby film are planned around those requirements, and anything that might affect security is confirmed before production.
Regulatory notices, such as disclosures, complaint procedures and other information the bank must display, are supplied and approved by the bank. We reproduce them exactly as provided and position them where the bank specifies, but we do not write or verify their content. ATM lobby graphics are applied only to surfaces the bank and its ATM provider approve, leaving card readers, keypads, cameras and any anti-skimming or privacy components clear. Fascia signs that are illuminated or structural require other registered trades and, where needed, engineering sign-off, and fascias facing a public road may need municipal outdoor advertising approval.
Rebrands are usually phased. Each branch is surveyed, old branding is removed and surfaces are cleaned, and new fascia, window, banking-hall and queue signage is installed outside banking hours so the branch can open as normal. All work is carried out on the bank’s premises. Location, access, security clearance, escorts, after-hours work and landlord or municipal approvals are arranged per project.

Why choose it
- Signage planned around the bank’s security brief from the start
- Branches open as normal because work is done outside banking hours
- Clear queue and service signage that helps customers find the right point
- Old branding removed so no outdated logos remain visible
- Consistent records for each branch to support later replacements
Things to consider
- The security team’s requirements can limit window coverage, graphic positions and materials
- Work depends on security clearance, escorts and access windows set by the bank
- Illuminated or structural fascia signs require other registered trades and possibly engineering sign-off
- Removing old signage can reveal damaged or discoloured surfaces that need repair
- Notice content must come from the bank, and late changes delay production
Preparation and installation process
- Brand and security brief. We receive the bank’s brand specification, its security team’s requirements for sightlines and equipment, and the notices it needs displayed.
- Branch survey. Each branch is measured and photographed, including fascias, glazing, ATM lobbies, banking-hall walls and existing branding, under the bank’s access arrangements.
- Layouts for approval. Branch layouts are prepared showing every graphic position, and are approved by the brand and security teams and, where needed, the landlord or municipality.
- Production. Graphics are produced and packed per branch, with notices reproduced exactly from the bank’s supplied files.
- After-hours removal and installation. Old branding is removed, surfaces are cleaned and new signage is installed outside banking hours, with other trades handling any electrical or structural work.
- Security walk-through and handover. Before the branch reopens, positions are checked against the approved layout so that cameras, sightlines and equipment remain clear, and the branch is photographed for records.
What affects the price
- Number of branches and the amount of signage per branch
- Fascia work, including any coordination with fabricators or electricians
- ATM lobby, banking-hall and window graphic coverage
- Removal of old branding and surface repair or cleaning
- After-hours work, security clearance and escort requirements
- Number of approval rounds with brand, security and landlord teams
Every vehicle is different, so we quote each job individually. Your final quotation depends on the vehicle, the material, how much of the vehicle is covered, any artwork, and the condition of the paint once we have assessed it.
Turnaround
Timing depends on security and brand approvals for each branch layout, the bank’s supply of notice content, security clearance for the installation team, available after-hours access windows, landlord and municipal approvals for fascias, and how many branches are included in each phase. Branch rebrands are normally scheduled in phases. Timing is confirmed with the quote once the branch list and access arrangements are agreed.
Care and maintenance
- Clean glazing graphics with a soft cloth and mild, non-ammonia glass cleaner
- Keep ATM lobby graphics free of stickers and unauthorised notices
- Report damaged queue or service signage so it can be replaced from the branch record
- Replace regulatory notices promptly when the bank issues updated content
- Ask cleaning contractors to avoid abrasive pads and scrapers near graphic edges
Frequently asked questions
How do you make sure graphics do not interfere with security?
We plan every position from the bank security teamu2019s brief and have the layout approved before production. After installation we check that cameras, sightlines and security equipment remain clear as specified.
Do you write the regulatory notices?
No. The bank supplies and approves all regulatory and customer notice content. We reproduce it exactly as provided and position it where the bank specifies.
Can a branch stay open during a rebrand?
Yes, in most cases. Removal and installation are scheduled outside banking hours so the branch can trade normally, with access and security arrangements agreed per branch.
Can you brand the ATM itself?
We only apply graphics to surfaces the bank and its ATM provider approve, and we keep card readers, keypads, cameras and protective components clear. Changes to the ATM unit itself are for the ATM provider.
What happens to the old branding?
Old signage and graphics are removed and the surfaces cleaned before new branding goes on. If removal reveals damaged or discoloured surfaces, we flag them so repairs can be agreed.
