A panel van has large, uninterrupted sides that can work like a billboard every time it drives or parks. Done well, a van wrap makes your business recognisable across Johannesburg; done carelessly, rivets, ribs and door gaps can break up the design.
This page is for businesses running one van or a fleet of them, from delivery and courier vans to trade and service vehicles. Vans are wrapped at our Rivonia workshop in Sandton.
About this service
Van wraps are usually printed designs applied over the original paint, sometimes combined with cut vinyl lettering. Design matters as much as installation. The layout has to work around sliding door gaps, fuel caps, handles, rear door hinges and the split between twin rear doors, so key information such as your logo, phone number and website is placed where it stays readable.
Many vans have ribbed or swaged side panels and rivets on partitions or roof sections. Film has to be pushed into corrugations and around rivet heads and relieved so it does not lift. Rear windows can carry perforated window graphics where legally appropriate; we do not wrap the front windscreen or front side windows.
For fleets, we have the capacity to wrap up to 50 vehicles per week, and guarded, covered storage for up to 200 vehicles while work is scheduled. Ask us whether on-site installation is possible for your fleet project. Results depend on the paint condition of each van, the material, installation and care.
Suitable vehicles and common uses

- Trade and service vans
- High-roof and long-wheelbase vans
- Small vans and light commercial vehicles
- Vans with rear or side windows for perforated graphics
- Fleets needing consistent branding across several vehicles

- Colour change wraps for a uniform fleet colour, subject to material availability
- Design and layout for your specific van model
Options depend on the material available at the time of your project and on your vehicle. We confirm exactly what is possible in your quotation.
Why choose it
- Large side and rear areas carry your brand wherever the van travels
- Consistent layouts make a fleet instantly recognisable
- Branding can be updated or removed when vans are replaced or sold
- Damaged panels can be replaced without rewrapping the whole van
- Fleet capacity and secure, covered storage help large rollouts run smoothly
Things to consider
- Deep corrugations and rivets need careful work and can add time
- Design must allow for door gaps, handles and hinges, which split graphics
- Front windscreen and front side windows are not wrapped
- Resprayed or damaged panels may not bond or remove predictably
Preparation and installation process
- Brief and measurement. We confirm your van model, what you need the branding to say and how many vehicles are involved.
- Design and proof. A layout is designed to suit the van’s panels, door gaps and windows, and sent to you for approval.
- Print and preparation. Approved artwork is printed while each van is cleaned and inspected for paint damage.
- Installation. Film is applied panel by panel, worked into ribs and around rivets, with graphics aligned across door gaps.
- Quality check and handover. Each van is checked for edge sealing and alignment; for fleets, vans are scheduled through our workshop and secure storage.
What affects the price
- Van size, roof height and wheelbase
- Full wrap, partial wrap or lettering only
- Number of ribbed panels and rivets
- Design complexity and number of layout variants
- Number of vans in the project
- Paint condition and preparation
Every vehicle is different, so we quote each job individually. Your final quotation depends on the vehicle, the material, how much of the vehicle is covered, any artwork, and the condition of the paint once we have assessed it.
Turnaround
Timing depends on the van size, coverage, design approval, printing and the number of vehicles. For fleets, we plan a schedule with you so vans are rotated through the workshop with minimal downtime. Timing is confirmed with your quote after we have assessed the vans and agreed the design.
Care and maintenance
- Hand wash or use touchless washes; avoid brush washes
- Keep pressure washer jets away from edges, ribs and rivets
- Do not let loading equipment scrape against rear door graphics
- Clean diesel and road grime off lower panels regularly
- Report damage early so individual panels can be replaced
- Keep spare printed panels on file for common repairs if your fleet is large
Frequently asked questions
How many vans can you wrap at once?
We have the capacity to wrap up to 50 vehicles per week and guarded, covered storage for up to 200 vehicles. We plan a schedule around your operations.
Can you wrap our vans at our depot?
Installations take place at our Rivonia workshop. Ask us whether on-site installation is possible for your fleet project.
Can our rear windows be branded?
Rear windows can carry perforated graphics where legally appropriate. We do not wrap the front windscreen or front side windows.
Will the design look right across the sliding door?
We design around the sliding door gap, handles and fuel cap so key information is not cut through. You approve a proof before anything is printed.
Can we update branding later?
Yes. Individual panels or the whole design can be replaced. How cleanly the old film removes depends on its age, quality and the paint underneath.
