Front End Paint Protection Film
Clear PPF on the bumper, bonnet, front wings and mirrors – the areas that face most road debris.
Gloss and satin wraps, contrast roofs and PPF for Mazda hatchbacks, SUVs and the BT-50 bakkie.
Mazda is known for its rich factory colours, such as its deep reds and liquid-looking greys, and for smooth, flowing bodywork. Many Mazda owners love their paint and want to protect it, while others want a different finish that still respects the car’s clean lines.
Car Colour Wraps is an independent workshop in Rivonia, Sandton, and is not affiliated with Mazda. We use 3M and Avery Dennison vinyl films for wraps. Here is what to consider when choosing between protecting a Mazda’s paint and changing its look.
If you chose your Mazda for its colour, clear paint protection film is usually a better fit than a wrap. PPF is designed to absorb stone chips and light scuffs while the original paint stays visible. Front-end coverage on the bumper, bonnet, wings and mirrors is the most common choice, and full-vehicle coverage is possible. PPF doesn’t hide existing chips, so these should be repaired first. If your Mazda has been resprayed on any panel, tell us, because refinished paint behaves differently under film and may lift during removal. Clear PPF also needs gentle washing; we give you care advice after fitting.
Mazda’s curved panels show reflections clearly. A gloss wrap keeps that look and is closest to paint, while satin softens the reflections and makes the shape look more sculpted. Matte gives a flatter, more understated look but needs more careful cleaning. We show physical samples in daylight, because colours and finishes look different outdoors, and options are subject to material availability.
Deep curves around the bumpers and wheel arches on the Mazda3 and CX-30 need careful stretching, so we discuss where seams or relief cuts may be needed.
On the CX-3, CX-30 and CX-5, a black roof and chrome delete on the window line are popular partial wraps. The larger CX-60 has long, smooth panels that suit a full wrap, as well as cameras, radar and parking sensors that we never cover. If you change the main colour, tell your insurer and check with your licensing authority about your registration details.
The BT-50 is used both as a lifestyle bakkie and as a company vehicle. A black pack suits private owners, while businesses can add logos and lettering to the doors and tailgate. Front-end PPF is worth considering if the bakkie regularly travels on gravel. Our 5-year workmanship guarantee covers our installation workmanship only, not the lifespan of the film or colour.

Clear urethane film across all painted panels to help reduce stone chips, scuffs and light marks without changing your colour.

A shiny, paint-like finish in solid colours that reflects light like fresh paint, with straightforward everyday care.

A soft, low sheen between gloss and matte that highlights body lines gently, with care rules similar to matte.

A wrapped roof in gloss black, satin or carbon fibre look for a contrast ‘floating roof’ effect without repainting.

Colour change and branding wraps for single and extended cab bakkies, planned around the load bin, canopy and rough use.
