Van Wraps
Branded wraps for panel vans and light commercial vans, planned around large sides, rivets, ribbed panels and rear doors.
Shuttle and fleet branding, perforated window graphics, colour changes and front-end PPF for V-Class, Vito and Viano.
The Mercedes-Benz V-Class and Vito, and the earlier Viano they replaced, are used across Gauteng as airport shuttles, VIP and executive transport, tour vehicles, hotel and lodge transfers and large family people carriers. Their long, flat sides make them ideal for branding, and many operators also want a clean colour change or protection for the front end.
Car Colour Wraps is an independent workshop in Rivonia. We are not affiliated with, approved by or connected to Mercedes-Benz. We use 3M and Avery Dennison vinyl films for wraps, and this page explains what is specific to these vehicles.
A shuttle or tour operator often wants the same design on several vehicles, with logos, a website, a booking number and sometimes a route or service name. We design layouts around the sliding doors, fuel flap, door handles and rear tailgate so key information isn’t split across a panel gap. Executive transport companies often prefer something more discreet: a small logo on the front doors, lettering on the tailgate or a subtle colour accent.
For larger fleets, we have capacity to wrap up to 50 vehicles a week and guarded, covered storage for up to 200 vehicles, which helps when vehicles are brought in by a schedule. Ask us whether on-site installation is possible for your fleet project.
Most V-Class and many Vito people carriers have dark privacy glass in the rear. Perforated window film lets you carry graphics across the rear side windows and tailgate glass while passengers can still see out, but the combination of perforated film and factory tint makes the view outward darker, especially at night. We talk through which windows suit perforated graphics and which are better left clear. Front windscreens and front side windows are not covered, and you should check current regulations for rear and side rear windows before ordering.
The long, flat sides of these vehicles are well suited to vinyl, but they show every wave or bubble, so surface preparation matters. Sliding doors run on a rail along the rear quarter panel, and film is trimmed so it can’t catch on the rail or the door seals, including on electric sliding doors. A full colour change in gloss, satin or metallic finishes can update a fleet or refresh an older Viano, subject to material availability.
On interior trim, we assess requests individually rather than as a standard service, so please ask before planning on it.
Shuttles doing daily runs on the R21 to OR Tambo or long tour routes pick up stone chips on the bumper, bonnet and mirrors. Clear paint protection film on these areas is designed to absorb chips and light scuffs without changing the colour. It cannot hide existing damage, and results depend on the paint’s condition. Tell your insurer about any wrap, and check with your licensing authority whether a full colour change affects your registration or any operating permits. Our 5-year workmanship guarantee covers our installation workmanship, not the life of the film.
