Floor Graphics & Decals

Printed floor decals for promotions, wayfinding and queue markers, laminated for the floor surface and traffic they face.

Floor graphics put a message exactly where people are already looking as they walk: down. They can be a branded promotional decal at a store entrance, a trail of arrows leading visitors to a reception desk, or a row of markers showing where a queue should form.

This service suits retailers, mall tenants, event and exhibition organisers, offices and warehouses that want temporary or longer-term graphics on their floors, produced to suit the surface and installed on their premises.

About this service

A floor graphic is a printed vinyl decal covered with a floor laminate. The laminate protects the print from shoes, trolleys and cleaning, and adds surface texture. Laminates differ in texture, durability and slip-resistance performance, and any slip-resistance rating belongs to the specific product, not to floor graphics in general. We choose a laminate rated for your floor type and the kind of traffic it carries, and we can share the manufacturer’s product information so you or your health and safety officer can confirm it suits your site.

The floor itself matters as much as the graphic. Sealed, smooth floors such as vinyl, sealed concrete, epoxy, polished tiles and sealed timber are generally the most suitable for standard floor films. Carpet, rough or dusty concrete, textured tiles and outdoor paving each need specific films made for those surfaces, and some surfaces may not suit a decal at all. We check the floor before recommending a material, because poor adhesion on an unsuitable surface leads to curling edges and trip hazards.

Graphics are produced and then installed on your premises, and access and after-hours work are arranged per project so trading or operations are not interrupted. Removal depends on the surface: on a sealed, well-maintained floor a removable film usually lifts cleanly, while porous, worn or freshly sealed floors can hold adhesive or lose some of the sealant. Where floor graphics mark safety lines, walkways or exclusion zones, their colours and layout should follow your own health and safety requirements.

Suitable vehicles and common uses

  • Retail stores promoting a product, brand or entrance message
  • Mall common areas and tenant spaces, subject to centre approval
  • Events, exhibitions, launches and activation spaces
  • Office receptions and corridors needing directional arrows
  • Warehouses and distribution centres marking walkways or zones
  • Pharmacies, banks and counters needing queue and spacing markers
  • Showrooms and gyms wanting branded floor areas

Available options

  • Promotional floor decals in custom shapes and sizes
  • Wayfinding arrows, trails and directional markers
  • Queue, spacing and stand-here markers
  • Safety-marking lines and zone graphics laid out to your health and safety requirements
  • Slip-resistant floor laminates, choosing a product rated for your floor and traffic
  • Short-term removable films for events and campaigns, subject to material availability
  • Specialist films for carpet, rough concrete or outdoor paving, subject to material availability
  • Printed vinyl from manufacturers such as 3M or Avery Dennison where suitable

Options depend on the material available at the time of your project and on your vehicle. We confirm exactly what is possible in your quotation.

Why choose it

  • Catches attention in a spot that is rarely used for messaging
  • Guides visitors without extra wall or ceiling signs
  • Helps queues form in the right place at busy counters
  • Can be planned as short-term or longer-term, depending on the film
  • Laminates help the print resist foot traffic and routine cleaning

Things to consider

  • Not every floor suits every film, and some surfaces may not suit a decal at all
  • Slip-resistance depends on the specific laminate and conditions, so we never claim a rating for floor graphics in general
  • Heavy trolley, pallet-jack or forklift traffic wears graphics faster than foot traffic
  • Removal on porous, worn or recently sealed floors can leave adhesive or lift sealant
  • Wet, oily or dusty floors reduce adhesion and need proper preparation first

Preparation and installation process

  1. Brief and purpose. You tell us what the graphics must do, whether promotion, wayfinding, queue control or safety marking, and how long they need to stay down.
  2. Floor assessment. We check the floor type, finish, condition and cleaning routine, and note the traffic it carries, so the right film and laminate can be chosen.
  3. Layout and artwork. Artwork is sized and positioned on a floor plan or photos. Safety lines and zones are laid out to the requirements you or your safety officer provide.
  4. Production and lamination. Decals are printed, laminated with the agreed floor laminate and contour-cut to shape, then packed in installation order.
  5. On-site installation. Our team cleans and dries each area and applies the graphics on your premises, at a time arranged around trading or operations.
  6. Edge check and handover. Edges are checked for full adhesion so nothing curls up, and you receive care and removal advice for your cleaning staff.

What affects the price

  • Number, size and shapes of the decals
  • Floor surface, and whether a specialist film for carpet, concrete or paving is needed
  • Laminate type chosen for the traffic and slip-resistance performance required
  • Short-term removable versus longer-term materials
  • Floor cleaning and preparation before installation
  • After-hours installation and the size of the area to cover
  • Removal of old floor graphics and adhesive residue

Every vehicle is different, so we quote each job individually. Your final quotation depends on the vehicle, the material, how much of the vehicle is covered, any artwork, and the condition of the paint once we have assessed it.

Turnaround

Timing depends on how quickly artwork is approved, whether the floor needs cleaning or preparation, availability of the specified film and laminate, the number of locations involved and when the area can be closed off for installation. Freshly sealed or coated floors may need to cure before graphics can be applied. Timing is confirmed with the quote once the floor and access arrangements are known.

Care and maintenance

  • Clean with a damp mop and mild, neutral cleaner rather than harsh solvents
  • Keep scrubbing machines and stiff brushes off graphic edges where possible
  • Avoid leaving standing water on the graphics after mopping
  • Check edges regularly and report any lifting promptly, as a curled edge can become a trip hazard
  • Remove expired campaign graphics on time so adhesive does not build up on the floor

Frequently asked questions

Are your floor graphics slip-resistant?

We apply a floor laminate selected for your floor type and traffic. Slip-resistance ratings belong to the specific laminate product and also depend on site conditions, so we share the manufactureru2019s information for you or your safety officer to review rather than claiming a rating ourselves.

Can you put floor graphics on carpet or outdoor paving?

Sometimes. Carpet, rough concrete and outdoor paving each need specific films designed for those surfaces, subject to material availability. We assess the surface first, and if it is not suitable we will tell you before anything is produced.

Will the graphics damage our floor when removed?

On a sealed, smooth, well-maintained floor a removable film usually lifts cleanly. Porous, worn or recently sealed floors can hold adhesive or lose some sealant, so we discuss the risk for your floor before installation.

Can you mark warehouse walkways and safety zones?

Yes, using floor graphics laid out to the colours, widths and positions set by your health and safety requirements. You remain responsible for confirming the markings meet your siteu2019s safety obligations, and heavy vehicle traffic will wear them faster.

Is the installation covered?

Our 5-year workmanship guarantee applies to installation workmanship only. It does not cover wear from traffic, cleaning damage, the film itself or short-term campaign graphics reaching the end of their intended use.
