Team Bus Branding

Club colours, crests and sponsor logos for sports and corporate team buses, designed with sponsor change-overs in mind.

When a team bus pulls into a venue, it is the first thing supporters and opponents see. Team bus branding puts your club colours, crest and sponsors on the vehicle so it looks like part of the team rather than a hired bus.

This service is for sports clubs, school sports teams, academies and corporate teams that travel to fixtures, tournaments and events. We work on buses, midibuses and minibuses, and whether a larger vehicle fits our Rivonia workshop or is installed on-site by arrangement is confirmed per project.

About this service

Most team buses carry three kinds of content: identity (club colours, crest and name), sponsors, and practical details such as a website or social media handles. Club colours and crests are usually permanent for years, while sponsors may change each season. We often recommend separating the two in the design, with a base layer in club colours and sponsor logos placed in defined zones that can be removed and replaced without redoing the whole bus.

Sponsor logos usually come with brand guidelines covering colours, clear space and which logo version may be used. Sponsors often want to sign off how their logo appears, so we send proofs that you can share with them before printing. Getting this approval early avoids reprints and delays when the season is about to start.

Removable graphics are part of the plan from the start. Well-applied quality film on healthy factory paint usually removes cleanly, but resprayed or damaged paint can lift, and film that has been in the sun for a long time takes longer to remove and may leave adhesive. We look at the paint before you commit so you know what to expect at change-over time.

Suitable vehicles and common uses

  • Professional and amateur sports club buses
  • School first-team and sports department buses and minibuses
  • Sports academies and development programmes
  • Corporate sports and social teams
  • Supporters’ club buses
  • Tournament and event transport carrying sponsor branding
  • Hired buses needing temporary team graphics, with the owner’s permission

Available options

  • Full wraps in club colours with crest and team name
  • Partial branding with a colour band and crest on each side
  • Sponsor logo panels designed to be replaced each season
  • Perforated rear or side window graphics, where legally appropriate
  • Cut vinyl lettering for team name, motto or social media handles
  • 3M or Avery Dennison vinyl, subject to material availability
  • Temporary graphics for tournaments, finals or tours

Options depend on the material available at the time of your project and on your vehicle. We confirm exactly what is possible in your quotation.

Why choose it

  • The team arrives at fixtures looking organised and recognisable
  • Sponsor zones give a clear, visible return to the people funding the team
  • Sponsor panels can be changed without replacing the club colours
  • Original paint stays underneath, which helps when a bus is resold or returned
  • Our installation workmanship carries a 5-year workmanship guarantee
  • One design can be adapted for buses, minibuses and kit vans

Things to consider

  • Exact club colours can be difficult to match in print and may vary slightly between materials
  • Sponsor approvals can delay printing if they are not arranged early
  • Removal results depend on paint condition and how long the film has been on
  • Hired or leased buses need the owner’s written permission before branding
  • Very busy designs with many sponsors become hard to read from a distance

Preparation and installation process

  1. Brief and assets. We gather your crest, colour references, sponsor logos and guidelines, plus the bus make and model.
  2. Zoned design. We design the club identity and the sponsor zones separately so future change-overs are simpler.
  3. Sponsor approval. You share the proofs with your sponsors and confirm sign-off before anything is printed.
  4. Preparation and installation. The bus is cleaned and checked, then the base branding and sponsor panels are applied.
  5. Change-overs. When a sponsor changes, we remove the old panels and fit new ones in the same zones.

What affects the price

  • Vehicle size and body type
  • Full wrap, partial branding or lettering only
  • Number of sponsor logos and how often they change
  • Colour matching requirements for club colours
  • Design revisions needed for sponsor approval
  • Removal of existing graphics before new branding
  • Number of vehicles being branded to the same design

Every vehicle is different, so we quote each job individually. Your final quotation depends on the vehicle, the material, how much of the vehicle is covered, any artwork, and the condition of the paint once we have assessed it.

Turnaround

Timing depends on the vehicle size, the amount of coverage and, often most of all, how quickly sponsor approvals come back. Planning a change-over during the off-season or between fixtures makes it easier to fit around your calendar. Timing is confirmed with your quote after we have seen the vehicle and the artwork is ready.

Care and maintenance

  • Hand wash where possible, especially after muddy away fixtures
  • Keep pressure washer jets away from sponsor panel edges
  • Avoid parking in direct sun for long periods when shade is available
  • Remove bird droppings and tree sap promptly
  • Tell us early if a sponsor panel is damaged so it can be replaced to match
  • Book removal before film becomes very old and brittle to make change-overs easier

Frequently asked questions

Can you change sponsor logos without redoing the whole bus?

Yes, if the design is planned with separate sponsor zones. The old sponsor panels are removed and new ones fitted in the same space, while the club colours stay in place. How cleanly the old panels come off depends on their age and the paint underneath.

Can you match our exact club colours?

We aim to get as close as possible using colour references such as Pantone numbers or a physical sample. Printed and cut vinyl colours can differ slightly from paint or kit fabric, so we show you samples before production.

Our sponsor has strict brand guidelines. Is that a problem?

No. Send us the guidelines with the logo files and we lay out the panels to follow them. We provide proofs for you to send to the sponsor for approval before printing.

Can you brand a bus we hire for the season?

Possibly, but you need the owneru2019s written permission first, and you should agree who is responsible for removal at the end of the hire. Partial branding is often the most practical choice for hired vehicles.
